Hanuman

Hanuman is the incredibly strong, invincible son of the Wind-god. He is the eternal servitor of Lord Ramachandra and is the perfect symbol of Dasyam, the perfect servant of our sweet Lord Krishna who came in the form of Sri Rama. He always remains engaged in the Lords service no matter what that is his priority and life. Furthermore he is the ideal character for which he is worshiped by all devotees. Pavana dev comes as Hanuman to serve his Istadev(worshipable deity) Lord Rama, as Bhima to serve Krishna, as Madvacharya to serve Vyasa-dev. Hanumanji also came as Murari-Gupta in Kali-yuga to serve Lord Caitaniya. Hanuman is one of the 7 or 8 personalities who stay in this world until the end of Kali-yuga to protect Rama-Bhakta’s, the devotees who worship Rama. Hanuman is such a great devotee that the moment he met Rama he immediately started offered his service. His devotion to Rama is so vast and great that on one can stop him from serving Rama. Once Hanuman was so busy in the palace because he had taken away everyones serrvice, he was seriving everyone for the pleasure of rama. Seeing this Mother Sita and Laxman decided that they should let hanuman rest for a while and they should do all his service. Realizing that all his services were taken away he began snapping. In the vedas it says that when a person yawns it is inauspicious so to invoke auspicious one should snap his fingers. Everytime Lord Rama would yawn and was about to fall asleep hanuman would snap his fingers and lord Rama would wake up. So Rama could not fall asleep. As a result Guru Vashista asked Sita and Laxman to give back Hanuman his seva so that Rama could rest. Because hanuman enjoys serving his master he
cannot live a moment without engaging himself in Rama service. If a person desires to be eternally happy they must be engaged in eternal service under the guidance of the Lords associates. Hanuman is always making arrangements for others to come and serve the Lord just as shown when they were building the bridge.
